  What kind of makeup is used in airbrushing?
  
     
 

Only FDA-approved, hypoallergenic airbrush supplies are used at Salon Trendz. It is the same high-quality makeup used by celebrities and their personal makeup artists.

 
     
  Is airbrush makeup safe?  
     
  Absolutely. Airbrush makeup is more hygienic than traditional makeup application, because there are no icky applicator pads or brushes to transfer bacteria. In airbrush-applied makeup, the foundation sits on the surface of the skin, rather than being pressed down into pores. This allows the skin “to breathe,” so the makeup feels light and natural, and negative skin reactions are minimized.  
     
  How long does an airbrush appointment take?
  
     
 

An airbrush artist should be able to complete a makeover in about 30 minutes. This includes application of foundation, rouge, eye shadow and eyebrow enhancement. Then, we can augment the look with eye shadow powders, eyeliner, mascara and lipstick. Of course, full-body airbrushing takes longer and depends on the design, color and density required.  

  
     
  How do airbrushed designs turn out so perfectly?  
     
  By using a combination of stencils and freehand techniques, intricate images with awesome color variations can be created. With the smallest hint of well-placed glitter, a design can be enhanced. Voila! You get stunning results, and we get to watch one more masterpiece walk out our door. Priceless.  
     
  How do I remove airbrushed makeup?  
     
  Airbrushed makeup will stay bright and luminous for many hours, but when you are ready to remove it, simply use a bit of soap and water. It’s quick and easy with no mess. Gentle baby soap is recommended to protect the delicate skin around the eyes and to prevent stinging.
